FAQs

Q: Module – Can I study more than one module?

A: All the modules run in parallel through the weekend and you are asked to nominate the module for which you are most likely to attend sessions plus any others you may wish to attend.

Attendance at sessions for other than the primary module will depend on space in the teaching room and will be at the discretion of the tutor.  Tutors will be asked to provide any handouts they produce for all students who declare an interest in their module.

You may request a change to your nomination at any time prior to the weekend, provided that the module group you wish to join is not full.

Q: Transport to Kents Hill

A: There is not a shuttle service from Milton Keynes railway station to Kents Hill.  There is a bus service, numbers 11 and 12, or you can take a taxi.  There is a taxi rank outside the station, but Kents Hill recommend that you use Skyline taxis, telephone number 01908-222111.  A member of the M500 team will be available on the railway station to assist you.

Kents Hill are willing to arrange and book shared taxis for students on departure from the conference centre. Please request this service at the reception desk no later than noon on Sunday.

Q: Lifts – Can I request, or offer, a lift to Kents Hill?

A: If you would like to request or offer a lift, please inform the Weekend Organizer, and your name will be added here.

Q: Payment – Can I pay by credit/debit card, or by PayPal?

A: No. We are a small voluntary society and do not have any of those systems set up. You can pay by cheque or equivalent (postal order for example) or by online transfer to our bank account. See the BACS page for the bank account details.

Q: Bedroom – Are bedrooms single occupancy?

A: Bedrooms at Kents Hill all have double or twin beds, but we use them for single occupation, unless partners or friends specifically ask to share a room.

Q: Bedroom – Do I have to bring my own bedding, towels and toiletries?

A: No. Kents Hill provide bedding, towels, liquid soap and hair/shower gel.

Q: Food – Can the venue cater for vegetarians, or special diets?

A: Yes. Kents Hill routinely offer vegetarian meals on their menus, so there is no need to make specific requests for these options.
