General membership information for joining for the first time
Anyone interested in OU mathematics can join the M500 Society. Membership is by subscription, renewable annually.
First year membership of the Society for is free of charge.
For subsequent years the current annual membership charge is £17. Paying members are currently entitled to a discount on the price of the revision and winter weekends.
Members receive the bi-monthly M500 Magazine via email and optionally as a hard copy at an extra charge.
Please note that the discount for members attending M500 weekends ONLY applies to members paying the £17 membership fee and NOT to members joining for free for the first time
Our membership year runs from 1 August to 31 July.
If you join more than three months before the end of a membership year, your membership is backdated to the beginning of that membership year and, if you have requested printed copies then you will be sent printed copies of any magazines already published during your membership year, subject to availability. If you join less than three months before the end of a membership year, your membership is carried through to the end of the following membership year.
